Frequently asked questions

Please read the frequently asked questions.

If you have any questions or concerns that you don't find the answer to here, please don't hesitate to contact us by email.

Q: I don't have much (or any) yoga experience. May I still attend one of your retreats?

A: YES PLEASE JOIN US! :) We actually encourage those who are new to yoga to attend our retreats. We have good experience in teaching yoga to beginners and people with disabilities or injuries. Since all of our retreats are small in number of participants, it allows us time to give each and every one of our attendees personal guidance according to their needs.

Q: What languages do you speak and what is the teaching language?

A: We speak Norwegian (Swedish/Danish) and fluently English. All classes are taught in English. The exception is if we only have Scandinavian participants who have booked with us. Then the classes will be taught in Norwegian if suitable.

Important notice!

Certain countries require that the expiration date on the passport is more than 6 months for the duration of your stay in their country. Please make sure you check the passport and visa requirements well in advance before travelling.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy? Can I get my deposit back if something happens and I’m not able to attend the retreat?

A: Your deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to a retreat of choice within one calendar year from the date of your initial booked retreat. In the event that TSC cancels a retreat, we will offer a complete refund of your deposit or fee. You can learn more on our Refunds & Cancellations-page

Q: What are the accommodations like?

A: We carefully research and select our accommodations based on our list of requirements. It is important to us that the places we select are representative to our mission and values of sustainable solutions, but with a good dose of luxury and comfort. All our selected accomadations are privately owned villas, either close to the beach or with private swimming pools. All locations offer WIFI and they are secluded but still within short distance to everything so that participants can enjoy the surrounding areas when we have free time to just chill and explore. Most of the rooms are either king size suites or shared/private rooms with queen beds. In Tulum we also offer clamping tents with queen size beds right on the beach.

Q: What is the level of yoga experience normally of your participants and what is the age group?

A: The level of experience varies mostly from beginners to those who are intermediate and have practiced for several years. The age groups is everything between 20 - 60+, but that doesn't stop us from building strong and long-lasting friendships.

Q: I'm a solo traveler and are not used to travel as much by myself. Do you help with transport etc.?

A: Not to worry. We are experienced solo travellers ourselves and know what it feels like. That is why we organise everything for you and have it included in the retreat fees. We make sure you are picked up/dropped of at the airport and taken directly to our accommodation.

Q: Do I need any vaccinations?

A: Please refer to the official governmental websites of both your country and the country you are travelling to. We do not take any responsibility in this matter and refrain from advising as we leave that to the official offices.

Q: What type of food do you serve at the retreats?

A: We serve delicious vegetarian meals and we try to use mostly local and organic food whenever possible. If you have any dietary restrictions such as gluten, allergies, vegan etc. please inform us by filling it in on the registration form or by sending us an email.

Q: What exactly is included in your retreat prices?

A: Basically everything besides your airfare, snacks and alcohol. Accommodation, 3 meals a day, activities, transport, yoga/meditation classes, workshops and swag-bag are all included!
